Language: The local language is Czech, but all hotels and pensions in Prùhonice and vicinity (except one) have English speaking staff; the same is true for restaurants. The conference language is English.

Country: The Czech Republic is situated in the heart of Central Europe and comprises the historical regions Bohemia (NW) and Moravia (SE). The country is part of the European Union and also a member of the Schengen Agreement.

The currency is the Czech Koruna/Crown (CZK); currently 1 EUR is about 24 CZK; 1 USD is about 16.5 CZK. Although prices are increasing steadily, by European standards, the Czech Republic is generally very affordable, especially concerning food, beer, and public transportation.
Electricity is 230V/50Hz (European plug).

Climate: The Czech Republic lies in the temperate climate zone. May can be a beautiful, warm month with day temperatures of 15-25°C / 60-77°F. Flowers and trees are in bloom, and the weather is usually pleasant. However, it may still get cold during the night. Identification: The conference name badges will serve as an authorization for attending the scientific program, for free entrance to Prùhonice Park, and for access to the social events.

Diet: Provisions for vegetarians will be made. Other dietary needs may be difficult to meet; in case of specific requirements, please send a request to the organizer.
